Delete Your Hodolog Account
Last updated November 3, 2026
Hodolog is a travel planner and travel log run by Orangiraffe LLC. This page says how to delete your account and your data, what is deleted, and what is kept.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open Hodolog (the app or hodolog.com) and sign in.
- Go to your profile, then Settings, then Delete my account.
- Choose what happens to your trips that other people are on, type your email and your password to confirm, and tap Delete my account for good.
- The deletion happens at once and cannot be undone.
If You Cannot Sign In
- If you forgot your password, use Forgot your password? on the sign in page first.
- If that does not work, write to support@hodolog.com from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We reply to confirm it is you, then we delete the account. We answer within 30 days.
What Is Deleted
- Your profile and photo, your homes and the trips found in your photos, the cities you added, your booking emails and your calendar link.
- Your journal entries and the pictures you added to them, your Vault (loyalty numbers and the encrypted travel IDs), your problem reports, the votes you cast on trip ideas, your answers to polls on trips, and any routes and packing lists that only you used.
- Your trips that nobody else with an account is on, with all their entries and their cover photo.
- On other people's trips, the entries you added only for yourself.
- Every document and receipt you attached, on any trip, including trips that stay with others.
- Your logos, your cars and their mileage, your recorded routes and travel statistics, your budgets, your scanned receipts and expense reports, your notification and phone settings, your AI requests, and your family plan membership (a family plan you ran ends).
What Is Kept
- Each of your trips that others are on stays with them. You pick who takes it, and everything that was shared stays with the trip.
- On other people's trips, the entries you added for everyone stay with the trip, and your name stays on it, without an account. Entries you added for a few people pass to one of them.
- Shared costs and payments on those trips stay, under your name, so the others' balances stay right. Packing lists you shared with others pass to someone on them.
- A short record of important account events (for example approving a request, a password reset or a new sign-in email), kept for safety and deleted after 24 months. It can include an email address.
- Ideas, polls, album links and to-dos you created on trips that stay with others appear without your name.
- Entries that stay on other people's trips keep their contents (booking codes, ticket numbers, seats, passenger names and notes) and their change history, without your account.
- Reports you made about other people's profiles or journal pages stay with our support team, without your name.
- If you paid for Premium, our payment processor keeps its own payment records under its own retention rules, and Hodolog cannot delete those. Your subscription is cancelled when you delete your account.
- Copies of the database in our nightly encrypted backups are kept for up to 14 days, then they are gone too.
Deleting Only Some of Your Data
- You can delete trips, entries, journal entries and Vault entries one by one without deleting your account. Settings, Download my data gives you one file with everything we keep about you.
