A short history

As Chang'an, Xi'an served as capital for 13 dynasties, including the Han and Tang. Under the Tang it was one of the world's largest cities. Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor, was buried nearby with the Terracotta Army. Farmers found the warriors in 1974.
