A short history

Stockholm was founded around 1252. It became the center of a Swedish empire in the 1600s, when the Vasa warship sank. Sweden stayed neutral in both world wars, and the city grew as a design and tech hub. Stockholm is built across 14 islands and was first mentioned in 1252.
