Walkability

Victoria is walkable, but beaches and sights are spread out and roads are winding.

A short history

Seychelles was uninhabited when the French claimed it in the 1700s and settled Mahe. The British took over in 1814, and the islands gained independence in 1976. Tourism has since become the main industry, with strong protection for forests and marine areas.
